The Grind Cafe in Wading River celebrated its grand opening Saturday Aug. 6 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and mid-morning party at the brand-new North Country Road eatery.
The mother-daughter team of owners — Maryann Iacono and her daughters Raffaela and Carlotta — served refreshments and breakfast foods to a crowd that included members of the Riverhead Town Board, State Senator Ken LaValle, Assemblyman Dan Losquadro and County Legislator Ed Romaine.
The Grind Cafe, opposite the duck ponds in the historic village, will be cooking up gourmet breakfast entrees, signature sandwiches, soups, salads and a variety of specialty coffees and smoothies.
