Almost two years after a fire ravaged Apple Honda’s warehouse, renovations to the parts store on Raynor Avenue are nearly complete.
The March 31, 2011 fire caused significant damage that required extensive reconstruction, Apple Honda parts manager Dave Campbell said. The building needed all new shelving and inventory, too, Campbell said.
Apple Honda also renovated the parts store showroom. Though not damaged in the blaze, business is expanding, Campbell said.
“It was time to grow,” said Campbell. “Ninety-five percent of our business has been wholesale.” The company is looking to increase its retail trade, he said, so the newly renovated showroom space is geared towards the retail consumer.
Business continued through the renovation process as staff worked around the fire damage, Campbell said.
“It’s been a long and slow process,” Campbell said. “We’re happy that it’s almost done. We look forward to everyone coming down and seeing the changes.”
