Gianna Volpe has joined the staff of RiverheadLOCAL as a reporter.
Volpe is a multimedia reporter who received a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in photojournalism from the University of Missouri in 2010.
Prior to joining RiverheadLOCAL she was a staff reporter at Times/Review in Mattituck for the past year and a half, where she covered business, the wine region, real estate and health news.
Volpe received an honorable mention as “Rookie Reporter of the Year” in the 2012 Better Newspapers Contest of the New York Press Association.
A New Jersey native, Volpe grew up on the Palisades overlooking New York City. She lives in Riverhead.
