James A. Egan, 65, of Calverton, died Tuesday, April 9 at his residence.
Born on February 27, 1948 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Melenoskie) Egan.
He graduated from Nativity BVM High School, class of 1966 and was a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology of New York in 1968. He is a retired CNA from St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother the Rev. John V. Egan.
Surviving are nine siblings: Theresa Sekela ( Fr Michael) of Warrington, Penn., Martin (Kathleen) Egan, of Allentown, Penn., Catherine Egan, of Broomfield Colo., Alyce Bucher (Will) , of Oran, Mo., Victoria Holohan, of St. Clair, Penn., Norman (Sonia) Egan, of St. Clair, Penn., Gerard (Donna) Egan, of Robesonia, Penn., Mary Ann Roder (Michael) of Gilbert, Ariz., and Margaret Krynock-Kelly, of Oran, Mo. Also surviving are 19 nieces and nephews, and six great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was on Thursday, April 11 at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, in St. Clair, the Rev. Msgr. William F. Glosser officiating. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association Building A, Suite #10 25 Stevens Lane, West Lawn, PA 19609.
