A man who fell off a dock at East Creek Marina Monday afternoon was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center for observation and treatment of possible hypothermia.

The man, 66, was working on his boat, slipped and fell into the water, Jamesport Fire Department Chief Duffy Griffiths. He was in the water approximately 15 minutes, he said.

“We pulled him out. He seemed fine,” Griffiths said.

Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported him to PBMC for observation.
