PAL’s annual bike rodeo set for May 4

The Riverhead Police Ahtletic League’s annual bike rodeo will take place on Saturday, May 4 at Stotzky Park in Riverhead.

Children will compete in three grade categories for a chance to win brand-new bicycles: kindergarten through second grade, third through fourth grade and 5th through 6th grade.

Bicycles are awarded to the winners in each age group.

This event is free and open to all Riverhead Town and school district students. Bicycle helmets are required.

Participants can register the day of the event at Stotzky Park, beginning at 8:30 a.m. There is no charge to participate. The park is located on Columbus Avenue in Riverhead.

The raindate for the rodeo is Sunday, May 5; in the case of inclimate weather call the recreation department at 727-5744 x 30.
