Tarell Holloway

A Riverhead man was arrested on grand larceny charges yesterday in connection with the Aug. 11 theft of a vehicle from SAP Enterprises at 944 E. Main St.

Tarell Holloway, 27, is facing third- and fourth-degree grand larceny charges following his arrest yesterday at 12:16 p.m. on East Main Street, according to a Riverhead Police press release.

Holloway was also charged with removing cash and a cell phone from a parked vehicle on Aug. 9 at Luisa’s Scissors, 721 E. Main St. He also faces a charge of resisting arrest, police said.

Holloway was charged in June with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing/blood following a domestic incident in Riverhead. Those charges are still pending.

Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
