Riverhead Recreation Department will be offering ‘Movies at the Beach’ – a free special event for the entire community:

“For the first time, we will be offering this free special event on the west end of town in Wading River,” stated Riverhead Supervisor Sean Walter. The featured movie, The Little Mermaid, is one of Walt Disney’s most cherished films and is scheduled to begin at dusk (approximately 7:15 pm).
“I invite our residents to come spend an evening under the stars watching a family-friendly movie with their children, family and neighbors,” the Supervisor continued, “I hope this is the first of many movies to be made available at this location.”
This performance is open to all residents from the Town of Riverhead and will be shown on a 14’x26’ outdoor screen. Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. Those attending should consider bringing chairs or blankets to sit on and try to arrive early enough to find a preferred location to view the film.
Concessions will be available for purchase.
