San Simeon by the Sound Center for Nursing, Rehabilitation & Adult Day Health Care, Inc., Greenport, NY, is proud to announce that Carl Chute, who is a member of the Dietary Department, has been named the September Employee of the Month.
Chute moved back to Greenport after living in Iowa for a few years. “I wanted to come back to Greenport, since this is my home” says Chute.
Chute has worked for San Simeon for 14 years. “Many years ago, my grandfather worked here in the Maintenance Department,” he adds “so San Simeon has been a part of my family for many more years than that.”
“Carl is a good team player,” shares Merry Retus, Supervisor of Dietary Services. “He is fun to be around and helps make the work load lighter,” says a co-worker.
In his free time, Chute enjoys skiing, hiking and spending time with his friends. He is an ardent traveler and wants to be able to get his Commercial Drivers License (CDL), so he can drive a bus and travel more extensively.
Chute is a happy-go-lucky person who counsels all his friends and co-workers to “not take things too seriously as life is too short!”
