John D. Boehle, of Calverton, died September 13, 2014. He was 72 years old.
He was born on August 4, 1943 in Brooklyn to John L. and Agnes (Collins) Boehle
Boehle served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1970. He was the owner of ILE Service in Calverton.
Predeceased by his daughter Veronica Baggett in 1995, he is survived by his wife Claire Boehle, his sons, Christopher of Staten Island and Shawn of Riverhead and his daughter Lisa Dabrowski, of Laurel. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at the Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held Wednesday, September 17 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church. Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the North Fork Animal Welfare League and St. John’s Parish Outreach Program.
