The Riverhead Central School District recognized teachers and staff during the Superintendent’s Conference Day to kick off the 2014-2015 school year earlier this month.

Teachers recognized for 25 years of service: Mildred Nash, Sharon Martocchia, Ellen Rausch, Jeanne Bubka, Robert Lee Gilliam, Robert Nash, Jr., Elizabeth Chappell, Edwin George, Dorice Brown.

Recognized for 30 years of service were: Thomas Doherty, Steven Jackson, Cynthia Hynds, Brenda Flood-Childress, Gene Siller, Sylvester Gilliam.

Recognized for 35 years of service: Dorthy Fraser and Barbara Vail.

Pulaski Street School literacy coach Amy Brennan was recognized as elementary teacher of the year, and Roanoke Avenue Elementary School aide Vicky Smith was recognized as staff member of the year.
