Valerie Jean Bufkins of Mattituck died September 18, 2014. She was 70 years old.
She was born in Louisville, KY on April 27, 1944 to Myrtice Morgan.
Bufkins was an active and founding member of the Commuity Christian Fellowship.
Predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Gary, in March, she is survived by: her mother, Myrtice Morgan, of Kentucky; her children: Douglas and his wife Marlene, of Southold; John and his wife Debra, of Southold; Bill and his wife Mary, of Saratoga Springs, and Elizabeth Avalos and her husband Luis, of Guatemala; and by her brothers, Kevin Bryant and Keith Bryant. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
The family will recive visitors on Sunday, September 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. A service will be held on Monday, September 22 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetary.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Community Christian Fellowship or East End Hospice.
