East End Arts Gallery presents: THE WINNERS’ SHOW

The East End Arts Gallery is pleased to announce the Opening Reception for the upcoming Winners’ Show group exhibit on Thursday, October 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the East End Arts Gallery, located at 133 East Main Street, Riverhead, NY. This gallery exhibit features the work of Best in Show artists from juried East End Arts Gallery shows that took place during 2013. The public is invited to attend this free event and have the opportunity to meet the winning artists and see a larger body of their work; refreshments will be served. Featured artists are:

• Dolores Cinquemani – poet from Central Islip, NY and East End Arts member since 2012; Best in Show for her poemMan on the Side of the Road, poetry winner of the “Diversity” poetry contest;
• Toby Haynes – poet from East Hampton, NY and East End Arts member since 2012; Best in Show for his poem Clover, poetry winner of the “Diversity” poetry contest;
• Katherine Liepe-Levinson – photographer from Riverhead, NY and East End Arts member since 2012; Best in Show for her photograph Babel My Life, winner of the “Diversity” exhibition;
• Jonathan Pearlman – mixed media artist from East Quogue, NY and East End Arts member since 2011; Best in Show for his sculpture Scythe with Sheath, winner of the “Connection” exhibition;
• Nancy Scherl – photographer from New York, NY and East End Arts member since 2010; Best in Show for her photograph titled Chromosomes in Technicolor, winner of the “Art & Science” exhibition;
• Win Zibeon – painter from Blauvelt, NY and East End Arts member since 2013; Best in Show for his work in acrylic on shaped canvas with trompe l’oeil frame, titled Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear, winner of the Second Annual National Show “H2O” exhibition.

The Winners’ Show exhibit will be on display and available for purchase from October 2 through November 1, 2014. The East End Arts Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM.
