Stephen King once said of Gilbert Gottfried, “more than a national treasure, he’s a secret weapon…”

On October 17, The Suffolk Theater will welcome famed comedian and voice actor Gilbert Gottfried to it’s stage for a night of outrageous laughs and authentic stand up comedy.

Hitting the scene at the young age of 15, Gottfried got his start performing at open mic night throughout NYC and quickly made a name for himself within the standup circuit. Catching the eye of the legendary SNL producers, Gottfried became an active cast member in the season 6 cast, opening up opportunities with up and coming Music Televison ( MTV ), for whom he hosted a series of improv shows.

In years to come, Gottfried gained notoriety as a comedic voice actor working along names such as Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy and John Ritter. Most famously lending his voice to Disney as Iago, from their animated hit “Aladin”.

In recent years, Gilbert Gottfried has been making waves with his provocative, brutally honest and sometimes controversial, celebrity roasts and social commentaries having been featured heavily in the roasts of both Roseanne Barr and Joan Rivers.
