An early morning fire destroyed a wood shed in the Oakland Ridge mobile home park on Osborn Avenue in Riverhead today.

Residents of a home on West Drive said they awakened to find their shed fully engulfed in flames this morning at shortly before 7 a.m.

Forty Riverhead volunteer firefighters responded with four engines and two support vehicles at 6:49 a.m. and quickly brought the fire under control. The Riverhead fire marshal was called to investigate the incident.
