Jill Nancy Madalone of Riverhead died Sept. 29 at the Riverhead Care Center after suffering from Parkinson’s disease. She was 71 years old.

She was born on July 21, 1943 to Anthony Joseph and Charlotte (Suckow) Madalone in Port Jefferson. She worked as an accounting manager for GMAC in Uniondale for 35 years.

Madalone enjoyed her time as a member of the Sunshine Lady Foundation, the Red Hat Society and the Lassies. She served as recording secretary for the Glenwood Recreation Club, as well as being a block captain and part of the security patrol.

Predeceased by her parents, she is survived by her sister, Shirley Brown, as well as many loving cousins.

The family will receive visitors on Oct. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will be held on Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Sayville. Interment will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery.
