Garfield Langhorn is the bravest person I know because when I heard that someone threw a grenade in his area and by smothering it by his body by saving the people around him, I knew this man was strong, courages, and thoughtful.

Garfield Langhorn is my hero because he was in the war against Vietnam. Garfield Langhorn was a radio operator and he was calculating how far the enemies were from our soldiers. One of the Vietnam soldiers threw a grenade in to his platoon where the wounded soldiers were so he knew what he had to do. He put the grenade under himself to protect his fellow soldiers. By doing that, he made the ultimate sacrifice with his life and he was awarded the Medal of Honor.

I want to be like Garfield Langhorn by helping people in the community. I can do this by respecting the memorial of the soldiers that were fighting in the war. That is how Garfield Langhorn inspires me and why he is the bravest person I know.
