One person was sent to the hospital with minor injuries after striking a pole on Church Lane this afternoon.
A woman was heading northbound on Church Lane in a Toyota Prius when she veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole just south of Sound Avenue, according to police.
The woman was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps with non-life-threatening injuries. Jamesport Fire Department also responded to the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
