A woman was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center with minor injuries following a collision between the car she was driving and a box truck at the intersection of Northville Turnpike and County Road 105 in Riverhead at 1 p.m. Thursday.
The woman, driving a Mercury crossover vehicle, was northbound on Northville Turnpike. She carried no passengers in her vehicle. The driver of the truck, operated by Helen’s Greenhouses in Aquebogue, was uninjured.
Police said it was not clear which vehicle had a red light at the signalized intersection; no summonses were issued.
The Mercury was towed from the scene.
