The Riverhead Central Faculty Association (RCFA) launched ticket sales today for the Harlem Wizards Scholarship Fundraiser on November 19th, making general admission and student tickets available at www.harlemwizards.com and both Duffy’s Deli locations. Limited Courtside Plus tickets, which grant holders to a special meet-&-greet with the alley-oopers before the game, as well as court-side seats, will be available exclusively at Duffy’s Deli.
Ticket prices are $10/students and $12/general admission in advance; at the door, prices are $12/students and $15/general admission, although organizers caution that tickets will likely not be available at the door, as they expect this year’s event to sell out in advance just as last year’s game did. The twenty-five Courtside Plus tickets are $25 each.
Students at all of the RCSD’s K-8 buildings will get a special treat when Harlem Wizards players make appearances on October 30th with an interactive Anti-Bullying Program, sponsored by the Hilton Garden Inn in Riverhead.
“The Anti-Bullying Program was so well-received by our elementary and middle school students last year,” said RCFA Vice President and Roanoke teacher Gary Karlson. “The RCFA is so happy to be able to bring these important messages back to our schools.”
In addition to the Hilton Garden Inn, event sponsors include Stacey Braun Associates, RiverheadLocal, Duffy’s Deli, Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices of Riverhead, Riverhead Building Supply, Joe’s Garage, Mirkin & Gordon P.C., Skydive Long Island, Neefus Stype Insurance Agent Chip Puccio, CGAA Registered Investment Advisors, Advanced Orthopedics, Decision 2000, Revco Lighting + Electrical Supply, East End Asphalt, Home Town Electric, and Sele-Dent.
Three available levels of sponsorship are available until the November 1 deadline: Three Point ($500; logo and website link on ticket sale website; half-page advertisement in program; two announcements at event; logo on team shirts; logo displayed in gymnasium), Rebound ($250; logo and website link on ticket sale website; quarter-page advertisement in event program; one announcement at event; logo displayed at souvenir stand), and Sixth Man ($100; business-card advertisement in event program; one announcement at the event). Interested parties should contact Gregory Wallace at rcfascholarshipfund@gmail.com for information.
Last year, the RCFA awarded more than $10,000 in scholarships to deserving students.
