New art show at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery feat. artists Ine Wijtvliet & Natalia Clarke

East End Arts is pleased to announce the exciting new art show at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery, at the Jamesport Manor Inn (located at 370 Manor Lane in Jamesport, NY) featuring East End Arts members: abstract painter Ine Wijtvliet and classical painter Natalia Clarke. The show opens on Friday, October 31, 2014 and will be up for viewing until February 4, 2015. An Artists’ Reception will be held on Sunday, November 9 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery, where the public will have the opportunity to meet the artists. Local wines and artisanal cheeses will be served. The public is invited to this free event.

Abstract painter Ine Jacqueline Wijtvliet is a native of the Netherlands, where she grew up and received her education. Four years after graduating with honors from the Royal Academy of Art, in Breda, the Netherlands (1965), Ine was recruited by Massimo Vignelli in New York, who recognized her artistic talents. Soon after, Ine was appointed Director of Graphic Design for George Nelson & Company. In 1973, the legendary Paul Rand named her Art Director of IBM Corporate Headquarters, for the Arts and Design Program. Her many successes inspired Ine to open her own Manhattan graphic design office in 1976, naming it Whitefleet Design Inc, using the phonetic spelling of her impossible to pronounce Dutch last name! Her recent transition to painter has been an exciting challenge for Ine. Movement, color, and action exemplify her work. The dynamic expression in brushstroke and size of canvas comes from her inexhaustible vitality. She prefers large eight foot by eight foot canvases, on which she works with pleasure and energy. This energy is drawn from her lifelong passion and devotion to sports. Ine has been a personal trainer, tri-athlete, tennis player, wind surfer, sailor, and ballroom dancer – to name a few of her talents. One of her recent trips to Buenos Aires inspired her to capture the mood, atmosphere, and color of the Argentine Tango in ‘The Embrace’. The reviving after the storm “SANDY”, shown in a recent exhibit at the Remsenburg Academy. For the past few years Ine has sharpened her eye and pencil at Hunter College in New York City, where she enjoys figure drawing and painting from live models.

Classical painter Natalia Clarke grew up in Moscow, Russia. She moved to the United Sates in 1998, and now resides on Long Island. She has always enjoyed creating art. Her true passions are oil painting, drawing and photography. Natalia graduated New York Institute of Photography, and received training in classical drawing and painting from Long Island Academy of Fine Art and Atelier Armetta. She has been featured in many of the East End Arts Gallery’s juried shows, and won First Place in the Seven Deadly Sins show in 2008, and Second Place in The Body at Rest show in 2009, in addition to several Honorable Mentions. She has also exhibited at the Hersh Fine Art Gallery in Glen Cove, NY and at the Riverhead Town Hall Gallery.

Exhibits at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery are a joint effort by East End Arts and the Jamesport Manor Inn to introduce exceptional artists and their work to the East End communities. East End Arts members who wish to be considered for exhibits at the Jamesport Manor Inn should have updated representations of work in the East End Arts Artist Registry at the East End Arts Gallery, located at 133 East Main Street, Riverhead, NY. The artists selected for East End Arts’ off-site gallery shows are chosen by committee.
