Former Riverhead resident Arthur Robert Thurm, 61, died November 6, 2014 in Ocala, Florida.

Born in Riverhead on October 11, 1953, he was the son of Arthur and Stella Thurm.

He was a co-owner of Thurm’s Mobile Home Park in Calverton, founded by his father. He retired and moved to Florida in 2008.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Margaret, two sons, Thurm Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida and Ryan Thurm of Riverhead, two daughters, Christina Thurm of Dunnellon, Florida and Heather Thurm of Glen Head, New York and a stepson, Scott Trehy. He is also survived by a brother, Raymond Thurm, of Michigan, and a sister, Nancy Teodecki, of Auburn, New York.

A gathering of friends will take place at Roberts Bruce West Funeral Home, 6241 SW State Route 200 in Ocala, Fla. on Tuesday, November 11, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. A service of Christian burial will take place at Good Shepherd Cemetery on Wednesday.
