The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce today announced its 2014 annual award recipients:
• The Blue Duck Bakery Cafe – Business of The Year
• Woodside Orchards – Agricultural Achievement Award
• Joe Gergela – Gold Key Award for his many contributions to the Long Island Farm Bureau and eastern Long Island in general.
• Long Ireland Beer Company – Entrepreneurial Achievement Award
• Verna Campbell – Spirit of Riverhead Award
• Carl James – Lifetime Achievement Award
“All are invited and encouraged to join in honoring and commemorating the achievements and contributions of these outstanding members of our community,” the chamber said in a press release.
The 2014 Annual Awards Presentation will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Inn & Spa at East Wind, 5720 Route 25A, Wading River. Tickets are $75 per person.
