One woman was brought into Peconic Bay Medical Center Friday afternoon after a four-car accident on Roanoke Avenue in front of the hospital.

Police said an SUV was northbound on Roanoke Avenue and waiting to make a left turn into a hospital parking lot while two more vehicles, a Toyota Corolla and another SUV, were waiting behind the first SUV. A Volvo S80 then crashed into the back of the third vehicle, causing each of the three stationary vehicles to collide with one another, police said.

Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the scene at about 12:30 p.m. The female driver of the Corolla was brought into the hospital for evaluation, according to police. No one else was injured in the accident.

Both sedans were towed from the scene.
