Kids visited with Santa Claus Sunday afternoon following the conclusion of the Lions Club Annual Christmas Parade in downtown Riverhead.  See parade photos here.

Santa spent more than an hour listening to whispered requests from dozens of wide-eyed children from his perch on the town showmobile stage.

The iPhone 6 was a popular request with kids — even one as young as age 6.  A couple of youngsters asked for laptops. Several children whispered in Santa’s ear that they’d really like a kitten or puppy for Christmas. Video games, skateboards and Legos were on the Christmas lists of others.

One little girl sporting a toothless grin told Santa — with some prompting from Mom — all she really wants for Christmas is her two front teeth.

All children were treated to goodies to take home, courtesy of the Riverhead Lions Club, which sponsors the parade on the first Sunday of December each year.
