Randolph Philips, of Ellenwood, Georgia, formerly of Riverhead, died December 12, 2014. He was 82 years old.

He was born on September 28, 1932 in Virginia to Roman and Margaret (Lowe) Philips.

A retired technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, Philips worked as a firefighter at Brookhaven National Lab.

Survived by his wife Carol and daughters, Kim Allen of Riverhead, Dawn of Riverhead, and Bridget of Georgia, he is also survived by his sisters, Zenobia Flynn of West Virginia and Genva Harvey of Ohio. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 20 at 10 a.m. at Galilee Church, followed by a service at 11 a.m. officiated by the Rev. Roy Pennon. Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery.
