Riverhead Blue Waves basketball players helped clean up Osborn Avenue recently, picking up litter from Route 50 to Youngs Avenue.
Members of the varsity and JV teams, along with coaches Rossetti, Lamb and Zilnicki and two parents from the booster club, Shinneikqua Tolliver and Kiesha Washington, worked on the cleanup for about an hour and a half last Saturday after basketball practice.
Participants were treated to hot cocoa by Signature Bagels in Riverhead, where the booster club bought them breakfast sandwiches.
