The ice rink at Stotzky Park is open for use.
Councilman George Gabrielsen, the town’s liaison to the recreation department, said today the rink was opened up on Thursday after he confirmed the water was frozen solid. The buildings and grounds department flooded the rink with water earlier in the week, he said.
The 60-by-100-foot rink will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily “as long as the weather holds,” Gabrielsen said.
Use of the rink is free to all residents. Skaters must bring their own skates.
The town first opened up the ice rink at Stotzky Park in January 2013. It’s set up inside the roller rink at the skate park there.
