Riverhead Police arrested a Jamesport man for allegedly cutting a woman in the stomach during an argument.

On January 10 Alvah Randall Jr., 28, of Jamesport, allegedly cut a female acquaintance from Riverhead with a screwdriver during an argument, according to a police press release.

Police investigated the incident and charged Randall with assault in the second degree and harassment in the second degree on Monday, January 12. He is being held for afternoon arraignment at the Riverhead Justice Court.
