The North Fork Community Theatre is gearing up to bring delighted audiences its newest production, “Moon Over Buffalo,” which opens Friday.

Directed by Robert P. Horn and written by Ken Ludwig, “Moon Over Buffalo” tells the story of George and Charlotte Hay, fading 1950s stars who are playing in Buffalo, New York with five actors.

“On the brink of a disastrous split-up, they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: Frank Capra is coming to town, and if likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie remake of ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong, does go wrong, with hilarious results,” according to a description by the NFCT.

Performances will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as January 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 and February 1. All shows will take place at 8 p.m., except for Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at 631-298-NFCT or www.nfct.com.
