Estelle K. “Tootsie” Grodski of Riverhead died January 19, 2015 at Riverhead Care Center. She was 84 years old.
She was born to William and Stella (Harris) Kellis on March 29, 1930 in New York, NY. She went on to graduate Southampton High School with the class of 1948.
She worked as a legal secretary with Fowler & Kendrick in Riverhead. In her free time, Grodski enjoyed reading and bingo. She followed football and NASCAR.
Predeceased by her husband Vincent in 1992, Grodski is survived by her son, Richard, of Riverhead and daughter, Brenda Kowalski (Chester), of Riverhead. She also leaves behind three grandchildren to remember her: Anthony White Jr., Reid Grodski and Christina Grodski, as well as her great-grandchild, Jordyn DeFriest.
The family will receive visitors at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held Friday, January 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery.
