Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead police detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person(s) who stole air conditioning equipment from a warehouse in Riverhead Jan. 13.
That evening, a Tuesday, between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., one or more unknown persons entered the MCN Distributors Warehouse, located at 121 Main Road in Riverhead.
The manager of the company told Riverhead police three men pointed a handgun at him and removed cash, and HVAC equipment from the warehouse.
The thieves used company box truck (pictured) to remove the stolen items from the distributor’s premises, according to police. They drove the to another location where the stolen items were removed from the truck.
Riverhead Police said the box truck was later recovered on Reeves Avenue in the area of Doctors Path.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
Anyone who may have seen this truck on January 13 or anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
