A rear-end crash sent three people to Peconic Bay Medical Center this afternoon.

At around 3 p.m., Jamesport Fire Department responded to the scene at the intersection of Sound Avenue and Manor Lane with an engine, a heavy rescue truck and fire police to control traffic at the scene. The firefighters controlled fluid spills at the scene and assisted in the removal of one injured person from a vehicle.

Three people were treated by the Jamesport rescue squad and the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps, who responded to the scene with three ambulances. The patients were transported by RVAC to PBMC.
