Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found on an Aquebogue farm late yesterday afternoon, Riverhead Police said.

The death does not appear to be suspicious, according to police, who are witholding his identification pending notification of his next of kin.

The deceased man was found on a farm road on the property of Verderber’s Landscape Nursery by the property owner, who called police at 5:15 p.m., according to a police press release issued at late last night. The man was not known to the property owner, police said.

The body was removed to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office for further evaluation.
