Danielle Gabrielle Lawrence of Wading River died at her home on February 15, 2015. She was 17 years old.

Born February 3, 1998, she was the daughter of Tanya and Antonio Lawrence.

Known as “Danie” to family and friends, she was in the 10th grade at Riverhead High School. She played violin and was a member of the orchestra for four years. Danielle was involved in a wide range of activities. She was a member of the Blue Masques drama club and performed in numerous school plays. She was athletic; she played lacrosse and ran track and field. Having been blessed with a tall slender build she modeled in fashion shows in the United States and Jamaica. She was a member of Poetic Life Ministries Facebook group.

Danielle planned to attend college to study music and she dreamed of becoming a writer.

Danielle was a shy young woman. However, behind that quiet exterior hid a fiercely determined and loyal child, sister and friend. She loved her family, friends and music. Danielle’s love of music is well known, particularly her love of the group One Direction. She had a beautiful voice that was pure and sweet. She dreamed of sharing her love of music with the world. She braved long lines and hours in the sun to audition for the X-Factor talent show. Danielle often shared little pieces of her heart with the world by posting videos on Facebook of herself singing.

She would sit quietly in a crowd but when she hit the stage, she blossomed. All the beauty and light that was Danielle was open and bright for the world to see and share.

Danielle was a wonderful person who gave unconditional love to those of us who had the privilege to know and love her. She will be missed.
