Helen M. Strebel of Aquebogue died February 25, 2015. She was 86 years old.
She was born on August 8, 1928 in Aquebogue to Frank and Justina (Ruskowski) Doroski.
Following her marriage to John Strebel, she took up the mantle of homemaker. She loved flowers, travel, dinners out on the town and her family. She often spoke about her days growing up with her ten brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Strebel; her children Maryann (Daily), Theresa, Peter (Patti) and Paul (Nicole); her siblings Walter Doroski, Hedwig Kozak, Bertha Wilcenski, Conrad Doroski, Irene Zlatniski and Albenia Sujecki as well as her nine grandchildren Justine, Lauren, Alexandra, Eric, Sarah, David, Leo, Jillian and John.
The family will receive visitors at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home on Friday, February 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. A service will be held at St. Isidore Church on Saturday, February 28 at 10 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to East End Hospice.
