A two-car collision at the intersection of West Main and Court streets sent two people to Peconic Bay Medical Center this afternoon.

The crash near the Riverhead library occurred at about 4:15 p.m. and caused a brief shut-down of West Main Street while the accident scene was cleared.

Flanders Ambulance responded on mutual aid to Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps and transported a 28-year-old female to the hospital. RVAC transported a 23-year-old male to PBMC. Neither patient sustained life-threatening injuries.
