* locations… the entire tri-state area.
* Hazards… snow. Some light freezing rain possible tonight.
* Accumulations… snow accumulation of 2 to 5 inches… along with
around a trace of ice. Highest amounts near the city and
adjacent areas. Lowest amounts across eastern Connecticut.
* Timing… snow continues into this evening. Snow then mixes with
or changes to light freezing rain towards midnight.
* Temperatures… in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
* Impacts… hazardous travel conditions due to reduced
visibilities and slippery roads.
Precautionary/preparedness actions…
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow… sleet… or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities… and use caution while
driving.
