Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Riverhead Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the person who robbed a Riverhead bank.

On March 19 at around 10:30 a.m., a woman entered the Suffolk County National Bank branch located at 4 West Second St. and presented a note to the teller demanding money. She was given an amount of money by the teller and fled the bank on foot.

The robber is described as a Hispanic or light-skinned black female, between 5 feet, 2 inches and 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a medium build. She was wearing a black jacket with a grey hooded sweatshirt underneath the jacket, blue jeans, black hat and sunglasses.  Police released two surveillance camera images showing the woman they said committed the crime.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
