Julia H. Deegan of Riverhead died on March 28, 2015. She was 90 years old.
She was born to Charles and Florence Dennis on May 25, 1924 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Predeceased by her husband James in 1997, and sisters Florence Harvey and Agnes Holmes, she is survived by her children John of North Carolina, Dorothy Hasheider of Riverhead, Dennis of Islip and Julia Hart of Riverhead; sisters Mary Cheshire and Barbara Downs; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at McLoughlin Heppner Funeral Home on Monday March 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held Tuesday, March 26 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Church. Interment will be at Riverhead Cemetery. Donations to the Long Island Chapter of the Alzheimers Association in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
