Riverhead High School senior Joscelin Morrow signed to play volleyball for the Division I Georgia Southern University Eagles next year.

Joscelin’s position on the RHS Varsity Volleyball Team was as a Libero/Defensive Specialist. Her volleyball coach at RHS this year was Amy Greene, who was assisted by Kristen Andrejack. Her volleyball club coaches were her mother, Nancy Morrow, and assistant coaches John Bohnenblusch and Sam Jablonski.

Greene stated, “Joscelin is an exceptional volleyball player. In addition to her skills as a player, her excitement and enthusiasm makes her very entertaining to watch. I have never coached anybody who has had as much passion as I have for the sport. I will definitely miss her. Losing her is going to create a huge hole next year, but we wish her the best in college.”

Joscelin played volleyball all four years of high school (three on varsity) and has been playing travel volleyball since 8th grade. She also played varsity softball her freshman and sophomore year.

Joscelin is the daughter of John and Nancy Morrow. Joscelin’s older sister, Julia, is attending graduate school at the University of Tampa and is a standout pitcher for their softball team.

An outstanding scholar as well as an outstanding athlete, Joscelin is a member of the National Honor Society and is Vice President of the Foreign Language National Honor Society. She was in CAP her freshman year and chess club last year. She is ranked 12th in her class. Joscelin is undecided about a major at this time.

Quoting John Wooden, Joscelin says this about her experience on the volleyball team and in HS, “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”

Some of her stats include:

Sophomore Year: 177 digs, 26 aces, 11 kills; in 13 games
Junior Year: 443 digs, 23 aces, 26 kills; in 16 games
