William A. Forte of Calverton, formerly of Cutchogue and West Babylon, died April 28, 2015 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 84 years old.
Forte was born September 10, 1930 in the Bronx to Anthony and Wilhemina Forte. He went on to marry Eleanor Strubel.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55. He worked as a chemist at Polytex in the Bronx.
He enjoyed classical music, boating, dancing and playing horseshoes.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, May 2 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held Monday, May 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Greenport. Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or East End Hospice.
