The McGann-Mercy Theatre Company presents the Tony Award winning classic “The Music Man” Thursday April 30 through Saturday, May 2 in the school auditorium.

The show is about a con man “Professor” Harold Hill, who arrives in River City Iowa to scam the naive townsfolk, poses as a boys’ band leader by selling instruments and uniforms, promising to give the kids music lessons. He meets and woos a prim librarian and the pair fall in love despite themselves.

The show won five Tony awards, including Best Musical, and ran for 1,357 performances on Broadway.

Tickets are $10 per person. Curtain is 7:30 p.m.

On Friday night, May 1, the school will host its Mercy on a Mission Annual Pasta Dinner before the show. The pasta dinner will be served from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Combo tickets for dinner and the show are $15. (Dinner only: $10.) Proceeds from the dinner benefit the McGann-Mercy Theatre Company.
