Kent Animal Shelter is offering a special discount for veterans for the month of May, “Paws for Patriots.” The shelter would like to recognize Long Island’s veterans for their special service to our country and for protecting our freedom.
The benefits of interaction with our four legged friends are well documented and this program will help to give a boost to our vets returning home while giving homeless animals a second chance. The shelter will offer vets a reduced adoption fee on all adult cats and dogs of 50%. All adopted pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
