Grab your bike, helmet and spurs — the Bike Rodeo has come to town.

Riverhead PAL will host their annual Bike Rodeo competition for Kindergarten through Sixth grades, on Saturday, May 16 at Stotzky Park. The goal of this yearly event is to teach children bicycle safety and proper handling.

Registration is free. Helmets are required. Participation is open to Riverhead Town residents and students of Riverhead Central School District riders proficient on two wheels only.

Participants will be  divided by grade: Kindgaraten — 2nd, 3rd —4th, 5th — 6th. Bikes will be awarded to top winners in each grade group.

In case of inclement weather, please call the recreation Department at (631)727-5744 x 30. Rain date is scheduled for Sunday, May 17 at 12:30 p.m.
