During the month of May the Peconic Bay Medical Center will be having a Memorial Day event at the Main Campus in Riverhead and their new campus in Manorville, to honor our men and women of the armed forces. PBMC will be selling USA Flags for $5.00 to anyone wishing to honor a veteran, from May 5-21, 2015.
Purchase as many flags as you like, and PBMC will place the veterans name on the flag stick. The flags will be placed on the lawns of both facilities. After Memorial Day, your personal flag will be given to you to keep. All unclaimed flags will be donated to a local veteran organization. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the flags will be donated to “Hope for the Wounded Warriors.”
On Friday, May 22 at noon in the front of the hospital the Riverhead Middle School band will play patriotic songs and a representative from “Hope for Wounded Warriors will be there to speak.
