RJ Foster has received an athletic scholarship for more than $35,000 per year to play football and lacrosse for the Bulldogs at Dean College in Franklin Massachusetts.

RJ is a four-year varsity lacrosse player. A midfielder, he scored 13 points this season.

RJ played running back and defensive back for the Blue Waves Varsity Football Team. In 2014, he won the “Long Island Combine” skills competition. One of RJ’s strengths on both the lacrosse and the football field is that he is “fast” with a 4.4 forty-yard dash. He is also a determined young man.

“I want to stand out,” RJ said. “I’m striving, wanting to be the best that I can be.”

“I thank God for him, and I thank God for his God-given talents,” said his mom.

“We’re really proud of RJ and we’re looking forward to the future,” his dad, Roger, said. “He’s a good athlete, and I’m really glad that he’ll be at Dean. The atmosphere is really good there. Their athletic program is excellent and their support system is superb.”

RJ plans to major in criminal justice or a related major at Dean College. “I have always wanted to be a state trooper and maybe eventually a detective,” RJ said.

“RJ has a passion to play multiple sports, but football usually takes the center stage,” notes RJ’s guidance counselor Chris Martin. “His dream is to become a cornerback in the NFL someday if things fall into place for him. As his counselor, I hope that he continues to tap into his fullest potential in both academics and athletics in the college setting.”
