Sound Avenue will be closed for road work most of the day tomorrow (Friday, May 22) between County Road 105 and Roanoke Avenue.
The closure will begin at about 7 a.m., said Riverhead Highway Superintendent George Woodson. Traffic will be detoured around the area of road work, Woodson said. Motorists should use an alternate route.
Highway crews will be repaving the road surface in that stretch of Sound Avenue, he said.
