A Dodge pickup truck backed into a gas pump at a Main Road, Jamesport gas station this morning, knocking it over onto an Infinity sedan that was filling up.

No one was injured in the mishap at the American gas station on the corner of Main Road and Washington Avenue.

The gas station’s emergency shut-off system was triggered by the impact, immediately cutting off the fuel supply, the manager said. They emergency system prevented any fuel from spilling.

Though the gas pumps have been shut down, the manager said the repair company had already been notified and he expected the pump to be fixed and gas to be flowing to customers again later today. The station’s convenience store remains open for business.
