Today’s first ever River Craft Beverage Festival in downtown Riverhead showcased local beers, wineries, ciders and other specialty foods and beverages near the riverfront.

Festival-goers sipped craft beverage samples from more than 30 vendors who set up shop at tables and tents on the lawn of East End Arts.

The $45 admission fee gave access to free samples from all the craft beverage vendors at the festival, which included local breweries like Crooked Ladder, Long Ireland and Moustache as well as a variety of other craft beverage makers from all around eastern Suffolk County. Festival goers also received a complimentary souvenir cup.

A special $15 admission fee was offered for designated drivers.

The event, which lasted from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., also included music, games, food trucks, airbrush tattoos and other flea market style vendors.

The festival was hosted by the East End Tourism Alliance, a non-profit organization that promotes tourism on the East End.
